David W. Alston


David W. Alston 62, went to be the Lord on January 18, 2026. He was born on April 5th,1963 in Coffeyville, Kansas to the union of Calvin & Dorothy (Alcox) Alston. David attended school and graduated from Coffeyville- Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1981. David met and married the love of his life Cassandra “San” Glass on May 26, 1990. To this union of thirty-five (35) years, four children were born. During his life, David worked at Nu-Way food liner briefly, David found his passion and began working at Safety Klein (Clean Harbour) Environmental Services located in Coffeyville, KS on December 19,1990, continued his passion for twenty-nine (29) years until October 12, 2019, when the family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a lifelong & faithful member of St. John Church of Faith, Coffeyville, KS, until his passing. David’s hobbies included playing and watching basketball, western movies, going fishing, hunting, and treasure hunting using his metal detector. David also enjoyed watching airplanes arrive and depart from Harry-Reid Airport in Las Vegas, NV. David looked forward to attending family reunions, and spending time with family. He was cherished and loved by all who knew him, and he never met a stranger throughout his life. David leaves those to cherish his memory, wife of the home Cassandra “San” Alston, Las Vegas, NV; four (4) children, James (Jamie) Glass; Coffeyville, KS, Tearra Baldridge (Joseph Mason); Paramount, CA, TaVorra “Shell” (Chris) Horn; Las Vegas, NV, Tyler Baldridge (Karsha Clark); Las Vegas, NV. Ten (10) grandchildren; Nikki Glass, Brionna Glass, Jaime & Quantum Chancellor, Darius Hunter, Darionna Hunter, Syasia Baldridge, Tyre’k Baldridge, Christionna Horn, Tymarha Baldridge, Azaria Baldridge. Six (6) great-grandchildren with one raised in the home, Kingston. Four siblings; Sharon Tunstall, Calvin (Rosie) Alston, Debra Kennard, Patricia “Trish” Alston. Mother-in-law Dorthy Boyd. Eleven (11) nieces and nephews; LaKisha (Justin) Johnson, Isaiah Alston, Terrill Alston, Natalia Lawrence, Ayron Glass, William Tunstall, Michael “Wayne” Glass, Robert Kennard III, Natosha Lawrence, Kelsey Shields, Chantel Alston, and host of relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents Calvin & Dorothy. Cousin Rod Alston, one nephew Calvin Alston III, and niece Shanette Alston. 


Visitation will be January 23, 2026 at Mission Funeral Services from 12 to 5 p.m.



Service will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 at St. John Church of Faith at 11 a.m.
