Loretta Jean Naves


Loretta Jean “Alcox” Nave was born on December 4, 1939 in Humboldt KS to Leroy Alcox, Sr and Elzora “Scott” Alcox. Loretta "Jean" as she was so fondly known, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2026 in Oak Grove, MN after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her two sons Steve and Brian Nave. 


Loretta grew up in Nowata OK under the care of her Aunt Loretta and Uncle Johnny Jenkins. She attended and graduated from Lincoln Colored School of Nowata OK. Later graduating from McFarland Trade School of Coffeyville, KS with a certificate in healthcare.


Loretta met and married the man of her life Eugene “Jitter” S Nave on February 26, 1964. To this union was born Steve, Brian, Robert (deceased) and Glen Nave (deceased).


During her lifetime, Loretta lived mostly in Coffeyville KS where she held various jobs, most notable as a caregiver for Medicalodge of Coffeyville KS, after retiring from Emerson Electric in Independence KS as an assembly line worker.


One of her most cherished past times was visiting with family and friends and going to rummage sales. Those who knew her can testify to her generosity and loving heart. She was always willing to lend out whatever she could to those who would ask.


She is survived by her sons Steve Nave, Oak Grove MN and Brian Nave (Beth), Broken Arrow OK; grandchildren Ashley Beaufort-Nave (Hannibal) of Bloomington MN, Madeline Nave of New Orleans LA, Anja Nave of Germany, Anthony, Cory, and Nicholas Nave of Broken Arrow OK, Robert Nave Jr, and Marion Nave of Tulsa OK, Amir Nave of Edison NJ and one great-granddaughter Nomi; brother Walter "Sonny" Alcox, Charleston SC; sisters Elizabeth Terrell, Minneapolis MN and Kathy Scott, Coffeyville, KS. 


Loretta is preceded in death by her husband Eugene S Nave; parents Leroy Alcox, Sr and Elzora “Scott” Alcox; stepmother Maxine "Ford" Alcox; sisters Mary M Pickens, Dorothy Rae Alston, Melba Lovera Sabree, Ilene “Alcox” Fisher, and Betty Samuels; brothers Dr. Leroy Alcox, Jr. and Jimmy Alcox; four sons; Johnny Alcox, James C Alcox, Robert D Nave, and Glen Nave.


Well done, thou good and faithful servant. The angels rejoiced as they welcomed you HOME. 


Visitation will be Friday, April 24th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mission Funeral Services 502 S.

Union


Service will be Saturday, April 25th at 1 p.m. at St. John Church of Faith 602 W. Martin


Cremation will take place per family request
