Glen "Squirrel" Star


Glen "Squirrel" Star passed at his home May 4, 2016.


Glen was born to John W. Starr and Ethel M.Starr (McReynolds) on October 13, 1929 in Centralia (Big Creek), Oklahoma. He attended school at Sanders Elementary.


On December 1, 1961 he married the love of his life, his soul mate, Dorothy M. Coleman. They were married for 54 years. To this union 11 children were born, Dorenda of Tulsa, OK, Dina (Ronnie) of Coffeyville, KS, Daymond of Wichita, KS, Lisa of North Hollywood, CA, Norman (Karen) of Coffeyville, KS, Pamela of Dallas, TX, Stephanie "Diane" of Coffeyville, KS, Glen Jr. of Coffeyville, KS, Jean "LeeAnn" (Earl) of Tulsa, OK, Patricia "Tricia" of Tulsa, OK, and Gregory (Schambra) of Wichita, KS. There are 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He is also survived by two sisters, Pearl McCarter and Oneta Colbert of Coffeyville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, six brothers and one great grandson.


Visitation will be Monday May 9, 2016 at Mission Funeral Services located at 502 S. Union, Coffeyville, KS from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Service is Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Sardis First Missionary Baptist Church, 414 E. 2nd Street at 11 a.m.



Interment at Fairview Cemetery
