Sylvester Louis "Syl" Scarborough


Sylvester Louis "Sly" Scarborough, 55 passed away March 13, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.


Sylvester was born March 19, 1961 to Earl Sr. and Odessa Scarborough in Nowata, OK. He was the ninth child of nine children. He graduated from Lenapah High School.


Sylvester worked for Barlett Mill Company. He enjoyed being outside in his neighborhood, hanging out with friends and family, and his favorite past time was hunting and fishing. He was well loved in the community.

Viewing will be Monday, March 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Missin Funeral Services located at 502 S Union, Coffeyville.


Service will be Tuesday, March 21 at Sardis First Missionary Baptist Church located 414 E. 2nd Street, Coffeyville under the leadership of Pastor Virgil Horn.

I just learned of Sylvester's passing. I'm so sad to hear this. I taught him at Lenapah. PRAYERS for his family.
