Sharon Sue (Hadley) Edwards

On Monday, September 30. 2019 Sharon Sue (Hadley) Edwards passed away at age 64. She was a patient at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sharon was a gentle, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. She was born on June 21, 1955 to Virgie and Buddy Hadley. Sharon attended School in Independence, KS. Sharon was a certified nurse aide and spent many years caring for others. She was also a truck driver and retired after an accident. Sharon was united in marriage to Preston Edwards they later divorced.

Sharon was a faithful member of Young Chapel Church of God in Christ, Independence, KS. After moving to Coffeyville she attended First Church of God in Christ Family Worship Center, where her brother - in - law, Supt. Melvin Simpson, Sr. is the Pastor and his wife Sister Sandra K. (Hadley) is her First Lady. Sharon had a great love and respect for her Pastor and wife and she loved her church family but most of all and she loved God.

Sharon accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior on April of 2018, and she was not ashamed to share her testimony. Sharon loved to read her Bible, listen to good preaching and fellowship with the Saints.

Sharon was preceed in death by her Parents: Buddy and Virgie Hadley; Maternal and Paternal Grandparents: Maternal and Paternal Great Grandparents; 1 Niece Sparkle and 1 Nephew Sedalia Ladon.

She leaves to mourn her passing 3 Sons: Lametrius Clark of Missouri, Harold and Isaac Clark of Independence, KS. 9 Grandchildren, 7 Sisters: Carol Ann (Ford) Edwards, Shirley Ann Hadley, Ladonna Jean Hadley, Elise Ann (Hadley) Williams, of Wichita, KS. Sandra K. (Hadley) Simpson (Melvin Sr.), Linda Lee Lewis of Independence, KS. and Veronica Jill Hadley of Toeka, KS. 7 Brothers: Ladon Johnson (Paula), James Anthony Hadley (Joyce), Steven Metcalf (Doris), Dewitt Hadley of Wichita, KS., Buddy Hadley Jr. (Diane) of Topeka, KS. Maurice Hadley of Independence, KS. and Rickey Hadley (Towanna) of Chanute. She also leaves to mourn a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be Friday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Services located at 502 S. Union St. Coffeyville, KS.

Service will be Saturday, October 12th at 12:00 p.m. at First Church of God in Christ Family Worship Center located 2802 W. First St. Coffeyville, KS.

Did not know Sharon personally, but I know other family members. My condolences to the family, your loving memories will always keep her with you.
